The year was 2017.
My then future husband listened attentively to the stories of my heartbreaks. He saw how I let myself be devalued in a very chaotic relationship and how I was barely aware of my own power. As a pure person that he is, he told me:
"Slavi, why do you allow yourself to be treated like this.... if you are a Goddess."
There were no false compliments or hidden intentions behind his words. He could see me through my 27 layers. He could recognize me despite my mask.
He already saw me as a Goddess.
These words were too much for my mind.
I didn't know what to say, I didn't know how to act.
So I ran out.
